Did Your HP Laptop Not Turn Off Later on Hit That 'Shut Down' Button?

Don't worry, mine didn't either. And guess what, information technology was a brand new laptop I had ordered online. In my case, it was an HP Notebook 15 that was being marketed as a Middle East and Asian version. For near $800, I didn't expect it to carry similar this. At showtime, I thought I have gotten a defective piece and might have to get through all that hassle of returning and waiting again for weeks for another model.

But when I searched online for a solution, it became immediately articulate to me that mine was not a damaged model. Nor were other thousands of HP laptops and notebooks that had aforementioned/similar problems.

The problem specifically was limited to simply Windows 10. After upgrading from Windows seven or Windows viii.1, the laptop would take a very long time to turn off. And when it finally seemed to turn off, it would restart again. What'south weird about this trouble is that it would turn off really fast the second fourth dimension you turned it off.

2. Scroll downwardly and expand the option named "System Devices".
3. Find the hardware named "Intel(R) Management Engine Interface".
4. Right-click on it, and click "Properties".
5. Become to the tab named "Power Option".
6. Finally, uncheck the pick that allows the computer to salve power.
7. Click on OK, and endeavour to close down your PC as normal.

Couldn't notice the 'Power Management' tab in 'Intel(R) Management Engine Interface'.

Nevertheless, this pointed me to the 'power settings' of the laptop. They were altered and after irresolute them back to 'optimized' (standard) settings, the issue was stock-still.

So, information technology must be some setting in the Power Settings which causes this.

Hi there! I'm sorry, I'chiliad kinda lay with computers and engineering science... I'm having the same problem but my laptop won't turn off nor restart. When I follow these steps and striking "Properties" I see the tabs from "General" to "Resource", I don't accept the Ability Management here. :(

Finally fixed after ii years of trying everything possible and I had given upwards and resigned to the fact I was going to have to practise the temporary re-showtime and close downwardly method for the life of the reckoner.

My tested working solution in shutdown problem of laptops with Windows 8.one or 10 is by property/pressing downward the "Shift" key while clicking the shutdown button. Try this!

Howdy!

I had this trouble too, I tried everything that I constitute on the web, but finallly information technology turned out, that the problem came from the hardver, not from the softwer...

Previously I added a HDD Caddy to my laptop, and this caused the problems...

Check it, if other methods doesnt work ;)
